Salem Witches

I find the Salem Witch trials fascinating on multiple levels. The first being that I like to believe that magic does exist in the world, somewhere.

Secondly, I think that it's amazing, and mortifying, to see what happens when people let other people do awful things. How can the human race, as a culture, watch this happen repeatedly? Japanese interment, Hitler's Germany, African slave-trade...
